Zoe
I’ve been dancing since I was a kid when I did modern and contemporary dance. I then studied performing arts at sixth form majoring in dance (you’d know why if you heard me sing lol). I then didn’t do any formal dance lessons until 2008 when I started to learn bellydance and became hooked on the variety and expression that it provides. What I didn’t expect was the body acceptance that I found in bellydance and have gone from hating my then comparatively thin body to loving it whatever size it is.
Most recently I’ve been dancing in a tribal fusion trio called Shani and we usually dance to non-traditional bellydance music such as rock or alternative music. We love to design crazy costumes to wear on stage.
Bellydance is expressive and inclusive and a really good low impact cardio workout.

Sophia
What to expect from my class? Fun moves, work towards achieving your goals, some cheesy 90s background music and encouragement to record your aerial journey because you never know where it can take you and what matters is the journey not the destination:)

Kerry
Hi, I’m Kerry and I’m super excited to be joining the fabulous team of pole instructors at the Shed. I started pole back in 2015 and quickly fell in love with being upside down. Over the years, I’ve tried many of the aerial apparatuses too, but for me it’s always been pole. I trained as an instructor in 2022 and can’t wait to share my love of knee-grippy moves with you all!

Kelly
I’ve been training at The Pole Shed for 4 years. In that time I’ve tried it all! I decided to try a straps workshop and it was game over. I fell in love instantly. Straps is tough but with a little bit of consistency you will develop skills, technique and strength in no time!"
